All grapes are handpicked to maintain the uncompromising quality Oakridge is renowned for. In the cellar, a similar approach is taken, with very little additions made throughout the winemaking process. With such exceptional fruit, a gentle touch is all that is required. It is David Bicknell who heads up the team as Chief Winemaker – a true master who has helped to shape the modern styles of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that the Yarra Valley is known for. He is joined by Senior Winemaker Tim Dexter and Viticulturist Steve Faulkner, two creative talents in their own right. These meticulous hands all work together to ensure quality is at the core of what they grow and produce. They make wines which emanate freshness, balance and length, showing an understanding of the region.
